The Shining

“The Shining” is one of Stephen King’s most famous horror novels. The story follows writer Jack Torrance, who takes a job as the winter caretaker at the remote Overlook Hotel. He is accompanied by his wife, Wendy, and his son, Danny, who possesses supernatural abilities—the “shining.” As their stay at the hotel progresses, Jack gradually loses his sanity under the influence of the sinister forces inhabiting the building, placing his family in mortal danger.
