Nine Princes in Amber. The Guns of Avalon

These are the first two novels in the “Chronicles of Amber” series by Roger Zelazny. In “Nine Princes in Amber,” the reader meets Corwin, one of the princes of Amber — the only true world, in relation to which all others, including Earth, are merely Shadows. Corwin, who has lost his memory, gradually recalls who he is and enters the struggle for the throne of Amber against his brothers. In “The Guns of Avalon,” Corwin’s story continues as he searches for a way to reclaim his rightful place in the kingdom and confront the threat looming over Amber.
