The Real Life of Sebastian Knight

The novel “The Real Life of Sebastian Knight” is the first work by Vladimir Nabokov written in English. The book is a pseudobiographical narrative in which the narrator attempts to reconstruct the life of his deceased half brother, the renowned writer Sebastian Knight. In the course of his investigation, the protagonist encounters numerous enigmas and contradictions, gradually blurring the boundaries between his own identity and that of his brother.
